Came in here after a hard night at work and it was just what I needed I was warmly greated by a man who looked like the chef, was advised that I could sit anywhere I like, that he would take my order at the counter, and that the coffee is self serve all you can drink. They offered a medium roast and an extra dark roast which I loved because I like my coffee as close to espresso as I can get itI ordered the Cajun breakfast minus the hollandaise sauce and it was amazing Great Cajun flavor, but not too spicy I add hot sauce to everything and still put the Franks on this. The hash browns were done perfectly. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, just what I needed after a hard shift. The breakfast and coffee came it under 1. Okay, we like to try new places for breakfast. We made two choices today and decided on First Crack and decided that this visit was our first and last. The pictures on yelp were enough to peak our taste buds interest. Chat with us in Facebook Messenger. Find out whats happening in the world as it unfolds. A funny website filled with funny videos, pics, articles, and a whole bunch of other funny stuff. Cracked. com, celebrating 50 years of humor. We were excited. We left disappointed. We entered into a tight space and were not greeted even with 4 employees right in front of us. Two young ladies seemed uninterested and lacked any enthusiasm. We were not sure if we just take a seat or wait for an employee to acknowledge us and seat us. We had to ask and as we chose a table we were stopped and told that we had to order at the counter. So a bit confusing. We decided on what to order for breakfast and went to grab a table. Out Crack' title='Out Crack' />But first the odd tip jar at the counter. Seen it before and that is fine but I will not tip before eating at a restaurant before actually eating. Especially if never having been there before. At a coffee shop I will but you know what you are getting consistently. All but a few of the tables were dirty and they were not busy. We noticed the person wiping the tables also wiping the seats, WITH THE SAME WET NASTY CLOTHHOW IS THIS ACCEPTABLE AND WTF That explained why most tables if not all looked and were sticky and greasy. Thirsty. enjoy coffee with your breakfast If you enjoy coffee you also get that yourself. I am okay a bit as to ordering at the counter and getting your own beverage but when I go out to enjoy breakfast I want to relax and have a friendly, knowledgable server there. Not here my friends. Coffee was okay at best. The food was good, not very good, not great. Lets back up and get back to the initial interaction by employees and owner. I mentioned to one of the bored and uninterested young ladies that we had never been there before and she didnt comment and could care less. The Rise Of Modern China Epub File here. The taller man with glasses was the owner I believe. First Crack Cafe Great little breakfast find Not an easy place to locate in the parking lot. The breakfast menu was not too big but had all the. He did not represent his establishment well at all. Ill have a side of sarcastic attitude and I dont care about you demeanor with my breakfast please. WTF Every question was responded with a you should know attitude and a take it or leave it. So if you decide to venture to this twilight zone of a restaurant you have been warned. Service sucked. Cleanliness lacking. NEVER AGAIN. WOW What a disappointment We were so excited to try this place. No greeting when we walked in although there were three people standing at the counter. We excitedly said hello its our first time and were thrown a couple menus We were told to order at the front and they will bring the food out. We tried 3 different tables before finding one that wasnt greasyThe chairs and floors were greasy as well After the food was brought to the table they NEVER came back to check on us to ask if we needed anything. The food was ok, but the thing that turned my experience poor is being laughed at by the middle aged man who took our order when I walked away from the counter for requesting my cornbeef hash to be crispy He called the request back to the kitchen with quite a snarky sarcastic tone followed by lots of laughterThat was so unprofessional A man of your age should know how to conduct yourself much better than that We stopped in for breakfast on a highly hyped recommendation from a family member. Their space is pretty small and feels kinda cramped as we were filing in to order at the counter and then try to find a table for our group there were 6 of us. I ended up getting a plain coffee, the beignets and a breakfast sammie with bacon. Not sure exactly what I ate that was bad, but I got so stomach sick right after eating. I dont think Ill ever be back to try the food again. The bathroom is behind two different doors with different locks. You need a key code for the first and a door fob for the second. Super confusing and an issue if you need to go and someone has the fob in the bathroom with them already. You are forced to stand outside the doors for them to come back out to give the fob to you. There should be a better way to maintain the bathroom usage. We were here for brunch on Saturday afternoon. Its a small place in strip mall, i had to slow down my car to find out the place. The guy at the counter was very engaging and offered is great service. You walk up to the counter and order the food. We ordered biscuit and gravy and twin cities omelet. We also ordered popover beignets. Pop over was soft and fluffy, was flavor when eaten with butter. Beignets was burnt a little and was little dry inside. Both the brunch items were huge in size. Biscuits were very soft and fluffy as well. Gravy could have had more sausage. Nothing great or bad about the omelette. If you are around the robbinsdale and want some quick food you can stop by here. First crack has done it again New menu for the fall and their pub burger is to die for. Sub in pepper jack instead of cheddar cheese and you can thank me later. Yes, it might be your stereotypical BLT burger but the aioli and hackmuellers meats and bacon is bomb this burger is not dry at all. Plus its on a pretzel rollI also heard theyre considering opening Mondays again. I didnt check for confirmation but dang, bye bye money. Checked out this place right before the holidays and was super excited to have found this hole in the wall. Although hard to find, located in a strip mall, its worth making the trip for and I will definitely return. All of the items I tried were awesome and contributed to this being a totally awesome breakfastbrunch location. We started our meal with a popover. It was a good popover pretty much what I expected. The orange honey butter it came with was a bit underwhelming and could have used a little more flavor. This was the one item that I had that I could have done without. For my meal, I had the Avocado Bacon Benny with hashbrowns. The salsa verde had a great kick and the black bean salsa and hollandaise were on point. The hashbrowns were also crisp and delicious. My one complaint would be the the eggs were a little over with a cooked through yolk. My husband had the Biscuits and Gravy which was awesome and an absolutely massive portion. The gravy had great flavor, the biscuits were cooked well and his two eggs sunny side up were perfectly cooked. We also ordered the french toast for the table to share and this was the winner of the meal. Although for most, this may be a little sweet for breakfast, I found it to be a great end for the meal.
